Incidents for July 2007 in Pill and E.I.G

 

Youth disorder

 

01/07 small spiked rings placed in the Road in Westward Drive, these had been taken from the building site at the old garage, no damage was caused, the site was visited by Police and advice given re security of these items, no leads as to who was responsible.

 

03/07 noisy youths in Baltic place revving car engines, shouting and causing a general nuisance,

 

22/07 noisy youths in the area of the community centre with several reported to be on the roof, Police attended but no one in the area and no damage had been caused.

 

29/07 youths playing football in the precinct outside of the Kebab shop to the annoyance of the workers there, police attended spoke with the youths that were present and remained in the area until the staff left the premises to avoid further problems.

 

31/07 call to Mount Pleasant re youths being noisy, playing football and leaving rubbish, Police were committed with other incidents but attended an hour later and there was no one in the area and no apparent damage.

 

There were five calls relating to youths on Mopeds / mini Motos mostly in and around the area of Brookside and the Withys where youths have been seen riding on the road and in the playing fields in Brookside where apparently the gate has been removed thus allowing them easier access.

 

 

Damage

 

Three incidents of criminal damage, one in Marine Parade where a door was kicked and a panel broken, one in Monmouth Road where a drunken male fell against some garden trellis, however he returned the next day and offered to pay and lastly some glass panels were smashed in the new Gazebo at the Cancer care building at Ham Green but nothing was seen or heard.

 

 

Burglary

 

A Burglary took place at Rudgleigh Road where the garage was broken into and a number of scrambler bikes were stolen.

 

Trinder Road, a downstairs window was forced open and a untidy search was made.

 

Lodway, a garage was broken into and a chainsaw and a bike were stolen.

 

 

There have also been 2 assaults and one theft.
